Time and time again we have heard concerns from our customers and club members about the slow gear change on the smart. Smartarse Design has developed with our partner Bonalume of Italy a solution to speed up the gear change on the smart roadster and G2 Fortwo. Bonalume’s existing clutch already provides such a solution for the 600cc-powered cars.

We have fitted several clutches to performance and standard smarts with satisfied customers and are now releasing the product to the general smart community. At £650 fitted it is only fractionally dearer than a standard clutch being fitted by an official smart centre and you get faster gear changes and improved power delivery, a must for all smarts”
